You are encouraged to submit an abstract for presentation at the 2009 HerbFEST, an annual natural products expo and biobusiness development workshop.

This call is for anyone interested or involved in herbal products, medicinal (aromatic, pesticidal or ornamental) plants research and development, community/international health and development, public health, Intellectual Property Rights/Access and Benefit sharing (IPR or ABS) in traditional medicines or traditional medicine knowledge, Bio entrepreneurship, health policy and/or advocacy, public service, training and capacity building, standardization and laboratory or clinical research, environmental health, and education.

Please note that all chosen abstracts/papers will be published in a book of abstracts.

 

The abstracts may be research-focused, clinical-focused, or program-focused.

Abstracts are currently being accepted  
 
  1. Abstracts must be no longer than 250 words. Longer abstracts will not be reviewed. The abstracts must have the aim/mission, methodology and results.

  2. Only one author can be listed as the primary presenter. If accepted the primary author must present the abstract at the conference. The primary presenter should be directly involved in or leading the research or program. Co-authors may register for the conference separately and attend the session. Co-authors may also present along with the primary author.

  3. The best abstract submissions will be given an option for oral presentation. All others that are accepted will be poster presentations.

Authors submitting abstract must have an active participation in the workshop meaning that those not attending will have their abstract withdrawn from the Book of Abstracts except on concession basis.
